Every artist has tackled the complex structure of the human anatomy at some point in their career, the wondrous and intimidating system of bones and muscles have broken the most talented of artists, but Ryan Kinglsien will walk you through this legendary task and finally conquer it. Join Ryan as he guides you through every minimal and crucial detail of the human anatomy. Understand how to create anatomically correct figures and take your newly found gift of anatomy into motion, as you create dynamic sculpts. This course offers everything you need as an artist to truly understand anatomy and the joy surrounding it.

The 5 most important lessons:

  1. Master human anatomy and create accurate bone and muscle structures in Zbrush.
  2. Create strong, dynamic and anatomically correct figure sculpts.
  3. Understand the major differences between male and female anatomy.
  4. How to capture and utilize the freedom of anatomy to create believable sculpts.

About the instructor

Ryan studied traditional art in the certificate program at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, earned his degree in being a poor poet at Antioch University, and picked up digital art tools in the certificate program at The Gnomon School of Visual Effects. In 2004, he became the very first Product Manager for ZBrush at Pixologic where he worked with programmers and artists to fuse traditional and digital art processes. To put it another way, he's the guy who put the Rake brush in ZBrush. While at Pixologic, he consulted with industry heavy hitters such as ILM, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Bungie Studios, Ubisoft and Electronic Arts to integrate digital sculpting into their production pipelines. Ryan is busy teaching the world to sculpt through his company YouSculpt LLC and their training site www.zbrushworkshops.com.
