Sculpting The Face - Portraiture & Anatomy

Unlock The Secrets Of The Human Face (Three Day Event)

Starts February 24th, Friday  6pm

Located at 305 N Coast Highway Suite D Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Learn the anatomy you need to know to master the human face

Mastering the face is one of the hardest things to accomplish. Though we've been looking at the face all our life we've never looked at it with an artists eye.  We need to learn how to see the bone, dicepher the muscles from the fat and discover the crucial roll that cartlidge and ligaments have in creating the features of our face.

In this course, I'll teach you to organize the propotions of the face into a few simple rules. We'll learn to understand the planes of the face and how those planes translate into forms. We'll learn how to prioritize clean, clear form over what we think we "see". We'll do all of this by working through the problems in a structured and guided way over the course of 2.5 days in Laguna Beach.

Five Things You Will Learn:

  • The proportions of the human face
  • The 3x3 exercise to improve your sculpting
  • The anatomy of the eyes, nose, and mouth
  • The forms of the head, face, neck and shoulders
  • The details of age, weight and gender
